The house at 23 Mother Sweetheart's Street.

The building was squatted from October 2004 to April 2005.

23 Mother Sweetheart`s Street had been a public care center with housing for the elderly, welfare recipients, and people with disabilities. Until the county of Oslo decided to put the building up for sale there were over 80 people living there, who now had to move.

At the time the squatters moved in large portions of the building had been empty for almost six months. Most of the remaining occupants were positive about their new housemates.

"When you visit a squatted building it`s customary to bring along a gift" (Advice from a squatter)

I donated six bags of clothing to the squatters. The following interviews were conducted and still images made with the
"new" clothing on. This film seeks to explore who the squatters and occupants of Mother Sweethearts Street were, which clothing did they choose? Does clothing say something about who you are?
Translated video interviews. Straight intervjew and a shortstory behind. Video in Norwegian will come. Translated by Christopher Gambert.
